IOffer Review - Scam ???

So many people want to know!

Getting a great deal will get people to do things they don’t normally do, and this seems to be the case with most iOffer customers. Some people speculate that this website is run and owned by a Chinese company, which is why orders take 2 weeks to arrive in many cases. However, it is important to note that iOffer is an American company, it just allows vendors from all parts of the world to sell their wares. It seems to have fewer restrictions than eBay, which is why it attracts such a broad range of sellers.

The hype comes from some of the deals you can get at iOffer. There are many knock-off items being sold, so if you see a very expensive brand name item on sale for cheap you can be sure that it is not going to be the real thing once it arrives. As a buyer there aren’t any additional costs to using iOffer. The seller is charged fees to list and sell their goods and that is how iOffer makes their money.

Is iOffer a Scam?
In order to differentiate themselves from sites like eBay, and to capture some of the market share, they had to be somewhat lax of who they let in to sell stuff. You can’t have an online site like this without having products for people to buy. By lowering the bar as far as who can sell, and from where, they created a situation where a lot of people have gotten lousy items, lousy service, or both.

The site uses a 3rd party secure payment processor that will process or decline your payment on the spot. With that being said, ALWAYS use paypal if accepted by the seller, a prepaid debit card or a gift card. As for people saying it’s a scam, I personally have bought 10+ items (ranging from $2 – $200 per item) and there was only 1 time I didn’t receive my goods ( it was a $2 item). I only buy from people that have been selling for more than a year and have a minimum 97% positive review rating. I’ve even had 2 situations ( different sellers) where my item didn’t arrive after 2 months and I emailed the sellers: 1 seller sent me another item (which I did received the one that was "MIA"), the other seller refunded my card right away.

So, my experiences have largely been positive. The negative is that it takes a very long time to get your stuff from China, anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months from my experience. If you are familiar with shopping on aliexpress or wish, the time frame is comparable to those.

So is iOffer themselves a scam? No, not really. But they are plenty of ways to get scammed so always be a vigilant and informed consumer!

Hope this review helped!

Until next time. - D💋
